So maybe you woke up with your heart pounding and hands sweating. You open your eyes and try to remember what woke you up⦠and it slowly comes to mind.
It was a bad dreamβ¦so what happens next?
Psalm 91.5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
Sometimes dreams can be a warning or a message from God.
The first thing I do when I have a bad dream is pray. I ask the Lord for the meaning of the dream, and whether the dream came from Him or our adversary. If it came from the enemy I cancel the bad dream and rebuke it.
I will also check and see if I have any open doors in my life and try to recall who I was in contact with or what I was watching on social media or TV, etc. before bed or that day.
If I have trouble understanding a dream I will seek the help of a fellow believer in Christ who is gifted in the area of dreams. I recommend seeking Godly wisdom from others that you can talk with.
Pray
Make sure you are praying before you go to sleep. Pray over your house, your room, your mind, your property. Plead the blood of Jesus over everything.
Lastly, instead of scrolling before bed read some scriptures out loud. Focus on the Lord. Talk to Him about what is on your mind and allow Him to bring you peace and comfort.
Proverbs 3:24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.β
Trust in Him and His plans for you.
Goodnight.
