Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Lately there’s been a lot going on at work.

A lot of “restructuring” and people getting promoted. Which is great and all but with that brings a new set of leadership.

There’s a new person at the helm in our department and I don’t think one person on the team is happy about this. Already a few people have been let go, there have been some write-ups, and well, you get the picture.

After our last meeting a co-worker called me and we were having a grand chat about things going on in the office.

Lunchtime came and I decided to get some fresh air.

I was casually walking along and I felt a small voice in my spirit.

“How can you talk about your brothers and sisters and say you love Me.”

Ouch. Instantly I felt bad that I had said the things I said.

I googled “Having Aught Against Someone” and 49 verses in the Bible talk about this subject.

Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.

James 5:9 Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.

Yup. Apparently this is a topic that we need to be clear on.

Don’t slander/grumble/gossip.

Don’t beat yourself up too much if you have. Thankfully we serve a great God that is merciful. Repent for your sins take a deep breath and let it go.

Forgive me Lord for gossiping about others. I repent for my sins Lord, and I ask for Your forgiveness.

Thank You that your mercies are new every morning and renew my mind to stay fixed on You. In Jesus name, Amen.
